WHO WE ARE

St. Luke Charismatic Episcopal Church is a Convergence Worship Church. We are fully Evangelical, fully Charismatic, and fully Sacramental/Liturgical. We believe in the Trinity, in salvation through Jesus Christ, in the Bible as the authoritative Word of God. We confess the Nicene and Apostle’s Creeds of the Early Church. We celebrate Holy Communion (the Eucharist) as the focus of our worship. The Body and Blood of Christ is given to all baptized believers, and we welcome people of all races and ethnic groups to worship with us.

Since the Reformation, the Christian Church has been fragmented. There are now dozens of denominations in Protestantism. Most of these groups have lost the rich pageantry and reality of sacramental worship. Many of these denominations deny the power of the Holy Spirit. Most groups have lost the understanding of Biblical authority and Episcopal Church government. God has raised up the International Communion of the Charismatic Episcopal Church (also known as the ICCEC or CEC)  as part of a movement to restore ancient forms of worship, Biblical church government, and the power of the Holy Spirit to the Church. This movement of restoration has become called “the convergence movement,” or “three streams worship.” Christian theology and worship, in Christ’s Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church should never have become so fragmented, however. Our vision is to make visible the Kingdom of God. One way that this is done teaching the vision of the Church, as held by the writers of the New Testament and the Fathers of the undivided Church.

The mission of St. Luke Charismatic Episcopal Church includes the restoration of many elements of Christian life and worship. Five key areas of this restoration and revelation are:

  • Establishing the Altar of God in Cities, Nations, and Geographic Regions; as well as in the hearts of individual Christians.
  • Practicing Convergence Worship as the normative form and practice of the Church.
  • Restoration of Fatherhood Ministry and Government By Consensus at all levels of Church governance.
  • Restoration of God’s Economy through tithes, offerings, and alms.
  • Fulfillment of God’s Purpose or Destiny for each Christian, each Church, and each nation of the world.
